Apple Makes it Hard, but Not Impossible

Apple is strict with their App Store policies, which means you won't find the same volume of IPTV apps as on Android. But the apps that are available on iOS are polished and work excellently with IPTV UK Elite.

The Best IPTV Apps for iPhone and iPad (2026)

Smarters Player Lite is the official iOS port of IPTV Smarters Pro. It is available free on the UK App Store. The interface is clean, familiar, and supports Xtream Codes API natively — meaning you enter the same server URL, username, and password as on any other device.

Setup:

  1. Open the App Store and search "Smarters Player Lite"
  2. Download and open the app
  3. Tap "Add User" > "Login with Xtream Codes API"
  4. Enter your server URL, username, and password from IPTV UK Elite
  5. Channels and VOD load within 60 seconds

One note: Smarters Player Lite is occasionally removed from the App Store due to Apple's content policies, then re-submitted under a slightly different name. If it is not currently listed, try "GSE Smart IPTV" instead.

2. GSE Smart IPTV

GSE Smart IPTV is the most feature-rich IPTV app available on iOS. It supports Xtream Codes, M3U playlists, and external XMLTV EPG sources. The interface is more complex than Smarters but offers more customisation.

Download: Search "GSE Smart IPTV" in the UK App Store — look for the version by GSETECH.

Best feature: GSE handles multiple playlists simultaneously, making it ideal if you have IPTV UK Elite plus another service running side by side.

3. Flex IPTV

Flex IPTV is a newer iOS app with a modern Netflix-style interface. Supports Xtream Codes and M3U. The VOD browsing experience on iPad in particular is excellent — large poster art and a smooth horizontal scroll interface.

4. MFP — My Fast Player Pro

MFP is specifically optimised for performance on older iPhones (iPhone X, 11, 12). If you find other apps buffering on an older device, MFP's lightweight codebase uses less memory and handles streams more efficiently.

Watching IPTV on iPad

The iPad experience is noticeably better than iPhone for IPTV. The larger screen makes the EPG readable, and apps like GSE Smart IPTV use the extra width to display a sidebar programme guide while a channel plays — similar to how Sky Go works on iPad.

For the best iPad experience, use IPTV over WiFi at home or connect to 4G/5G data when travelling. HD streams use approximately 1.5–2 GB per hour on mobile data.

AirPlay to Your TV

If you have an Apple TV or an AirPlay 2-compatible Smart TV (Samsung, LG, Sony from 2019+), you can stream from your iPhone directly to your TV screen using AirPlay. Open Smarters or GSE, start a channel, and tap the AirPlay icon in the player controls to cast to your TV.

Data Usage on Mobile

QualityData Per Hour
SD (576p)~0.7 GB
HD (1080p)~1.5 GB
4K~5.5 GB

Most UK mobile plans (EE, O2, Vodafone, Three) offer unlimited data on higher tiers. For commuters watching HD on the train, allow 1.5 GB per hour on your mobile data budget.

Just remember to check your Mobile Data guide before streaming on 4G or 5G!
